A language enthusiast, history nerd, and travel addict, I speak and write fluent English and Spanish and have a keen understanding of the differences and similarities between American English and other varieties.

Originally from small-town Oregon, I’ve been an expat most of my adult life. Since qualifying as an EFL teacher in 2007, I’ve lived and worked in places as diverse as Seville, Spain; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; and Barcelona, Spain.

In my free time I enjoy reading both fiction and non-fiction, plotting my next vacation, and updating my blogs, TEFL Adventures and Not Quite Irish.

I’m currently based in the stunning wild west of Ireland.
